The 60 bed facility serves patients in Southern California, Arizona, Southern Nevada and New Mexico. The Los Angeles Shriners Hospital accepts and treats children with routine and complex orthopedic problems, utilizing the latest treatments and technologies. Neither payment nor insurance of any kind is accepted, nor does the hospital accept government grants, state or other agency funding. Financial support is derived from the Shriners themselves plus the donations of individuals and organizations that care. The hospital is staffed by 280 full and part-time healthcare professionals including a compliment of 43 physicians and 80 pediatric nurse specialists. The hospital is fully accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations the nation’s oldest and most respected hospital accreditation agency.
